Two women were hospitalised following two separate car crashes this morning, in one of which a the woman had to be cut from the car.
At about 7.30am a woman crashed her car on the Thomastown to Ballyhale Road between Goatsbridge Troutfarm and Moonroe Cross.
She was taken to St Luke’s Hospital with what are understood to be serious injuries.
The road remains closed and you’re being asked to divert via Stoneyford.
Gardaí are looking for any witnesses to come forward.
In a separate crash in Carlow, the local fire service had to extricate a woman from a car after two vehicles collided on the Castledermot road from the town.
She was also taken to hospital but her injuries are not believed to be serious.
