The Restaurants Association of Ireland has picked the county because of its food offerings and to encourage local food tourism initiatives locally.
The Marble City goes up against Boyne Valley, Cong, Derry, Dublin Coastal Village, Leitrim, Monaghan, Sligo, The Burren and The Loop Head Peninsula.
Last year’s winner was the Burren.
