Willie Mullins talked to us this morning from his Closutton yard. He was back home from extraordinary double success with Simenon at Ascot. He gave us some facinating insights into the social side of a trainer’s Ascot. We were tantalised by his description of the poshest Champagne picnic hosted by a former Kilkenny resident. Discretion prevented him from naming any names!
Twin Kilkenny captains Allie and Jenny O’Keefe came into studio this morning with their Féile medals and U13 cup won at Féile at the weekend. They brought their ladies Football coach, proud Eoin Hennessy too! Great achievement on the same weekend Kilkenny wiped Dublin out!
Six foot three twenty stone Irelands Strongest man, James Fennelly dropped in too. He and former Olympian Adrian O’Dwyer combine to provide a really top class gym in Kilkenny now.
AND they did it Fenagh broke the world record for the most people standing in a field wearing paper hats!
