The future of St Patrick’s Centre in Kilkenny, local respite services, and Ballytobin will all be addressed by the Disabilities Minister today.
Local TD Bobby Aylward says he will be putting a number of pressing questions to Finian McGrath when he meets him privately this afternoon.
He requested the meeting after HIQA recently instructed that the former Camphill community at Ballytobin be transferred to the HSE.
Bobby Aylward says he wants to find out today what exactly will happen with the facility, as he says the HSE doesn’t plan on running it long-term.
Speaking to KCLR News, Bobby says the Minister is already familiar with a lot of the issues facing those with disabilities and their families locally.
