His party’s justice spokesman, Jim O’Callaghan insists he told Frances Fitzgerald last Wednesday – something which she denies.

Fianna Fáil TD Bobby Aylward says the Minister for Justice has “blatantly” not been telling the truth about when she found out about Tusla’s role in the whistleblower saga.

His party’s justice spokesman, Jim O’Callaghan insists he told Frances Fitzgerald last Wednesday – something which she denies.

The Carlow/Kilkenny deputy says he has spoken to Jim personally and says he backs him 100%.

Earlier this week, fellow local Fianna Fáil TD John McGuinness also lent his support to Deputy O’Callaghan.

Speaking to KCLR News, Bobby Aylward says Frances Fitzgerald may yet have to step aside.
