The European Milk Board is calling for the removal of Phil Hogan as EU Commissioner for Agriculture.
The former TD for Carlow/Kilkenny was given the portfolio in September of last year.
In an open letter written to the President of the European Commission, the EMB says Commissioner Hogan hasn’t done anything to deal with the current milk-price situation.
They claim the impact of poor milk prices across the EU is having a negative effect on dairy farmers and that the situation is continuing to deteriorate.
Speaking to KCLR News, Agriland Journalist, Seán Cummins says the Board feel measures he has introduced have been ineffective.
