Health Campaigners in the South East are demonstrating on the streets of Kilkenny this afternoon.
They want to highlight the need for 24-7 cardiac care at University Hospital Waterford.
CPR demonstrations will be carried out on the parade between 2 and 4pm and organisers are also looking for signatures for their petition to get a second cath lab.
The Health Equality for the South East campaign group is holding the on-street event and they’ll be joined by the Red Cross, the Irish Heart Foundation, and other voluntary ambulance services.
PRO of the Health Equality group, Matt Shanahan, says this is a significant health issue for the south east.
