A creche-owner in Carlow is criticising the government for the lack of funding for privately owned businesses like hers.
Marie Kavanagh owns Brownshill Creche in Carlow and was speaking after yesterday’s announcement that almost 400 thousand euro has been allocated to community childcare in the county.
A public meeting on this issue is to be held in the Talbot Hotel next Wednesday.
Marie told KCLR that this lack of funding for privately owned childcare is causing businesses to close.
