Carlow’s Head of Enterprise says this week’s announcement by Vodafone and SIRO is a hugely positive development for the town.
On Monday the two companies announced they are teaming up to roll out two years of free broadband for local start-up business hubs in 15 towns, including in Carlow.
Successful hubs will then be able to provide free internet access to any local entrepreneurs or other start-ups who can call into their hub to do their online business.
Head of Enterprise with Carlow County Council, Kieran Comerford told KCLR news there are a number of viable options in Carlow for this initiative and it’ll help other businesses grow.
