A Carlow teacher says it’s important to get the message across that it’s “okay not to be okay”.
Joe Nolan, who’s a woodwork teacher in CBS secondary school in Carlow was speaking ahead of their upcoming ‘cycle against suicide’ event on the 5th of May.
Three young teenage boys from the CBS in Carlow died by suicide in recent years, and the school has been picked as an ‘anchor’ for the cycle.
Speaking on ‘The way it is’ last night, Joe says it’s important that young people talk about their problems.
