A South Kilkenny GAA club is looking for your vote to help them win a national photo competition.
Carrickshock GAA are currently well in the running for 1st place in the contest which is being run by EirGrid.
Voting is taking place online on their Facebook page, where already the local club’s photo has 2,400 votes.
The prize for the winner is a brand new scoreboard and speaking on last night’s The Way It Is, Carrickshock’s Declan Lennon says their photo makes it perfectly obvious why they need to win:
“It’s a photo of our scoreboard and it was taken during the Féile and instead of having the names of the clubs, we were forced to use jerseys.
“If you look closely you’ll see poor Oisín, our scorekeeper, had to donate his own shirt for one of the teams!
“The prize on offer is an electronic scoreboard, appropriately enough, and we’ve been narrowed down to the last three in Leinster so our hope is to replace our scoreboard and give poor old Oisín his shirt back!”
