Carlow girl Shauntelle Tynan got a special Christmas surprise this evening.
KCLR and the Arboretum Garden Centre in Leighlinbridge teamed up to to
unveil christmas lights at her home in Tommy Murphy Park in Carlow.
The Carlow teenager is suffering from a rare form of cancer –
Hystiosytosis X – and was having chemotherapy in Beaumont Hospital when
the lights were put up.
Friends and family gathered at the house this evening and heres the moment
Shauntelle was surprised.
Shauntelles Aunt Tracey says today means a lot to the family.
Fundraising has been taking place to send Shauntelle back to Texas for
more treatment as she cant get it in Ireland or Europe.
