Four months on and the Transport Minister has not yet fulfilled a promise to visit what’s been termed the “valley of death” in South Kilkenny.
This weekend, a drive-slow protest is being planned for the Piltown Bypass of the N24 where at least 10 people have died over the past number of years.
After a major public meeting in December, the matter was raised with the Transport Minister, Shane Ross in the Dáil who said he would come down to Piltown himself to see the problem.
However, Secretary of the Piltown/Fiddown Bypass Action Group, Robert Duggan says this still hasn’t happened.
