12,000 euro has been promised to help address a range issues in a Kilkenny housing estate that was built on the site of an old dump.
Residents of Bishop Birch Place have complained of cracks as their homes are more or less sinking into the ground.
Now money has been set aside for roads and footpaths in one part of the estate but Councillor Andrew McGuinness says it wont go far enough.
It’s hoped that more funding might be granted in next year’s budget.
Councillor McGuinness told KCLR News, the problem in the estate is a lot bigger than the council seems to understand claiming engineers are underestimating what needs to be done.
