The Education Minister used his address to primary teachers in Kilkenny this morning to re-iterate the importance of schools being inclusive.
Ruairi Quinn delivered his speech to more than 800 delegates at the annual congress of the INTO in Lyrath Hotel where he expressed his disappointment with the pace of reform in how religion is being taught.
Carlow teacher Hazel O Connor says its clear that the Minister feels strongly about the issue but she argued that many schools are making huge efforts to be inclusive anyway.
Minister Quinn is in Wexford this afternoon where he will address the ASTI conference but he is due back in Kilkenny for the TUI conference tomorrow morning at Newpark hotel.
