The Irish National Amputee Team narrowly missed out on third place in the Amp Futbol Cup in Poland recently & will play in the European Championship in Turkey in October.
Two awareness runs/walks will take place in Carlow & Limerick this August, Limerick’s on August 13 & Carlow’s on August 20.
Each 5km event aims to get word out to other amputees so they can join the support network that comes with being a player, to provide a more extended family support for the junior players and to show others how exciting the sport is.
It’s hoped that money raised will help to provide funds for the team who need a range of items including reinforced crutches, flexi foots, training gear & also to help with the cost of the use of pitches to train on.
