Technology in its many forms was the theme of tonight’s show. We first heard from Richard Murphy from Alltech laboratories who spoke to Matt about their award winning work; for example, antibiotic resistance and gut health (something that applies to both animal and humans) and the interesting use of algae, all of which have direct application to farming and the agribusiness and food sector.
Show Producer Martin Bridgeman spoke with Michael Eardly from Early Agri who will be displaying the latest machinery and technology solutions on Thursday 17th, with some interesting GPS and mobile phone applications to assist tillage farmers. (Further details are on Facebook here)
Mary McEvoy of Germinal Seeds spoke with Matt on the topic of grass and grass measurement in particular.
We had the usual farm diary courtesy of Tullow Mart and the weekly Kilkenny Mart Report with George Candler.
