Kilkenny brewery Sullivan’s have collected a top award at the Oscars of the Brewing Industry.
The Champion Keg Ale Trophy was handed to master brewer, Ian Hamilton, at the International Brewing awards ceremony in London’s Guildhall recently.
Sullivan’s were the only Irish winners collecting the trophy for their Maltings Red Ale which is brewed traditionally using only Kilkenny-grown ale malt.
Meanwhile, Walsh Whiskey is flying high after Lufthansa selected its Irishman whiskey specially for its first class passengers.
Its premium 12-year-old single malt has been chosen for inclusion in the German airlines first class lounge spirits portfolio.
