Locals are being reminded to keep their sheds locked and protected while they’re away from the house.
The call comes from the Gardaí after items were taken from a shed on the Parade in Bagenalstown on Friday the 14th of July.
The home owner discovered that a number of things had been stolen from the shed at the rear of the house.
Speaking to KCLR news, Sergeant Majella Minogue says it’s also important to keep record of what’s in your sheds.
She says, keep a note of serial numbers, particularly from equipment like chainsaws. It often happens that the Gardaí recover stolen property, and it would be helpful if you could identify your own pieces.
