Edward Hayden, presenter of the popular Saturday morning show, ‘The Saturday Show with Edward Hayden’, is joining forces with the shows resident gardening expert Shirley Lanigan in an attempt to see ‘How does your garden grow?’.
Shirley has recently published her book, ‘The Open Gardens of Ireland’ where she toured
Ireland visiting 427 gardens.
Now charged by the level of interest in the weekly gardening slot on the show they have decided to make a number of visits to gardens right across Carlow & Kilkenny in the summer months.
Perhaps you might need some advice on your herbaceous borders, your climbing ivy or your deep routed hydrangeas well if so you can apply to have Shirley and Edward visit your garden to admire your garden and give some practical gardening advice.
Not alone this but they will record a piece and play it out on the show to give listeners a full insight into your garden. This is a fun and light hearted initiative but will hopefully inform the owners of the host garden how they can make their garden even better.
To be in with a chance of getting a visit from Edward & Shirley send an email to the show’s producer, Paul Doyle on [email protected] or write to The Saturday Show with Edward Hayden, KCLR Studios, Leggettsrath Business Park, Old Dublin Road, Kilkenny and briefly tell us about why your garden and why you would like them to visit.
Closing date for applications is Monday 17th July 2017.
