Gardai in Tullow are still hunting for a man who fled after a grow house was uncovered in Rathvilly yesterday.
The discovery was made when the fire service were called out to a housefire in Slaney Bank View. The blaze started due to overloading on the ESB meter.
€200,000 worth of cannabis was seized and a man in his 70’s living in the house was arrested – he is still being detained for questioning this morning.
A second man who is Asian and believed to be aged in his 30’s or 40’s fled through the back door.
There has been two sightings of him since – he was seen in Rathvilly around 10 o’ clock yesterday morning wearing a cream coloured over-suit and carrying a blue holdall.
He was seen again later near the national school at around 2pm.
