One in ten Irish people have experienced problems with their mental health according to a new survey but people in Carlow and Kilkenny are more likely to share their difficulties.
That’s according to research by See Change which is an organisation that’s working to change people’s minds about mental health in Ireland.
As part of the ‘Green Ribbon’ campaign a number of local buildings including Kilkenny Castle, the Visual Theatre, Carlow Library and Carlow County Buildings are lighting up green today.
See Change director John Saunders told KCLR News that people in this region seem to be more open when it comes to the topic of mental health.
