It was a good day for the Kilkenny hurlers and camogie sides on Sunday in Thurles as both picked up national league titles.
The ladies secured their first league title since 2008 with a 1-15 to 0-4 win over Clare.

The men’s side were pushed all the way by Tipperay in their league final.
The game went to extra time after Kieran Bergin levelled it after 70 minutes.
TJ Reid’s two penalty’s looked to have given Kilkenny the win before Bergin late intervention made it 2-17 to 1-20 after 70 minutes.
Extra time was a tight affair until Reid’s 11 point of the day secured the win with just seconds left to make it 2-25 to 1-27 after almost 100 minutes of hurling
