A former pilot and Kilkenny man has completed almost a third of his 3,800-kilometre journey around the country.
However, it’s the pedals rather than the plane that Pat Nolan is using this time as he’s undertaken the Coastal Cycle Challenge.
He started out on the 18th of April and has so-far cycled through Wexford, Waterford, Cork, Kerry, Clare and is now in Galway.
It’s all for a good cause though as Pat and his supporters are raising money to create a college bursary that can be given to a talented local who might not be able to afford third level.
Speaking to KCLR News from Galway, Pat says they’ve been blessed with the weather conditions so far.
