A group of Kilkenny students are making their way to the Big Apple today to march in the St Patricks Day Parade.
28 Transition Years from Coláiste Pobal Osrai will be accompanied by 3 of their teachers on the trip of a lifetime as they prepare to represent their school, county and country as they walk through the streets of New York tomorrow.
The school is celebrating 25 years this year and wanted to mark the milestone in a special way.
Mary Ross Sloyan is the TY co-ordinator accompanying students on the trip.
She told KCLR news this morning they had been a little anxious about the weather after reports of a snowstorm earlier this week but they’ve been assured that all is well.
