Kathleen Funchion says she has spoken to family of residents at the Camphill Community in Ballytobin and will do what she can to help.
There’s uncertainty for their future after HIQA cancelled the registration last week citing serious concerns over safety and the quality of the service there.
The HSE is taking over the running of the facility but Deputy Funchion says there is a fear that things will change.
She says even though there is a commitment to keeping it open, people are concerned.
