Community and cultural groups across Carlow and Kilkenny are being invited to apply for a slice of this year’s funding allocation locally.
Kilkenny County Council are inviting applications from groups that are operating on a ‘not for profit’ basis within the community sector to apply for funding of up to €45,000.
But any successful applicants will only get 75% of what they’re looking for – the remaining 25% having to come from themselves.
The minimum grant size available is €9,000.
Meanwhile in Carlow, €64,500 has been allocated to the county for the Community Facilities Capital Scheme.
However, of this a maximum of €1,000 will be granted to individual groups, with any acceptions to be decided at the discretion of the Local Community Development Committee.
The closing date for applications in Carlow is the 30th of June, while in Kilkenny it’s the 9th of June.
