Carlow Kilkenny Fine Gael TD Pat Deering says he’s disappointed but not surprised at the latest opinion poll figures published this weekend.

It puts Sinn Féin and Fine Gael neck-and-neck on 22 per cent.

Support for Fine Gael dropped by four points, Fianna Fáil is unchanged at 18 per cent while Labour remains on eight per cent.

Deputy Deering acknowledges that it’s down to his parties handling of a number of issues.
