Carlow is leading the way when it comes to new car sales.
So says local TD Pat Deering who yesterday met with members of the Society of the Irish Motor Industry for their pre-budget meeting.
The latest figures from the S-I-M-I this week show that there’s been a 21% increase in the amount of cars sold so far this year, compared to last.
As of the end of September, 1,731 cars had been bought in Carlow.
However, speaking to KCLR News, Deputy Deering says there is concern in the industry for the year ahead with uncertainty over how Brexit will affect Ireland.
