Locals opposed to plans for a windfarm in the Old Leighlin area of Carlow will protest this afternoon as members of the county council gather for their monthly meeting.
A planning application by Galetech Energy developments has gone into the council in recent weeks for 21 wind turbines and the associated works in Knocknabranagh, Knockbaun , The Ridge , Baunreagh and Lacken.
Farmers and local homeowners are concerned about the impact it might have if it gets the green light.
Adrian O’ Neill from Old Leighlin told Sue Nunn on KCLR this morning they are worried that it wont stop at 21.
