Kilkenny Gardaí say the “lowest of the low” would have to be behind the theft of groceries from a man in his 90s.
It happened on Wednesday of last week in the Market Cross Shopping Centre at about 9.30am.
He had put down his bags to use the ticket machine and when he looked down just a few minutes later, his groceries were gone.
Garda Andy Neill says the onus is also on those around people who might be more vulnerable to keep an eye out for them.
