A young tourist escaped with just arm injuries after falling 20 feet from a wall at Kells Priory in Kilkenny yesterday.
The 18 year old was airlifted to hospital in Waterford by the coastguard helicopter when an ambulance found it difficult to access the local heritage site yesterday evening.
Declan Geoghan is Operations manager with the Irish Coastguard – he told KCLR news the young man was lucky he wasn’t more seriously hurt.
