Mount Leinster Rangers are through to the All Ireland club senior final after a thrilling 0-18 to 2-11 win over Loughgiel Shamrocks today
In a match played in difficult conditions Denis Byrne stood out scoring five points before the break to give the Carlow side a 10 to 0-6 lead at half time.
However the Antrim side fought back and Benny Mc Carry’s goal on 35 minutes saw them reduce MLR’s margin to 2 points.
A second goal from Liam Watson 8 minutes from time made for a nervous finish but the Leinster champions held on and they booked a place on march 17th in Croke park thanks to the last point from Byrne
They’ll face Portumna after the Galway side beat beat Na Piarsaigh by 1-15 to 1-11
