A Mullinavat man who is the new owner of the Ard Rí in Waterford has revealed he paid €1.5 million for the derelict hotel.
And Seamus Walsh, who also owns Waterford Castle has big plans for the iconic building that overlooks Waterford city.
He told KCLR’s The Way it is that he wants to retain the shape of the current building but add a little more character and personality to it.
Seamus, who lives in Australia now spoke with Sue Nunn on the show last night and said he wants to expand the hotel from 100 to 150 rooms.
