Protests and delays to the Kilkenny Central Access Scheme have cost the county council over 2 million euro.
Kilkenny County Council originally signed a contract with the building contractor for 4.1 million however the timeframe had to be extended due to missing the deadline on the fisheries regulations.
The council and contractor are now involved in a disputes resolution process to come to an agreement on the cost of finishing the project.
