Three arrested following break-in at a home in Carlow

Three men have been arrested following a break-in at a home in Bilboa in Carlow.

Gardai investigating the burglary which happened between 8 and 8.30 yesterday evening detained 3 men for questioning.

They have since been released and a file is being prepared for the DPP.

Meanwhile Gardai are also looking for information on a number of incidents around the county yesterday including a break in at Eddie Cullens butchers in Leighlinbridge in the early hours of this morning.

Its thought the culprits may have left there empty handed but not before causing considerable damage at the premises.

There was also an attempt made to break into a house on Upper Kilree Street in Bagenalstown – a rear window was broken but the alarm caused the culprits to flee

Finally number plates were removed from a Silver Audi parked in Leighlinbridge overnight.

Anyone with information is asked to contact Gardai in Carlow Town or your local Garda station.
