Seán Keane was born in Listowel, County Kerry and comes from a proud Kerry tradition,
his father being the world reknowned writer John B Keane. He eventually followed in his father’s writing footsteps, starting as a journalist in the Kerryman and the Kingdom newpapers, before fate brought him to Kilkenny where he has worked for many years and is currently Deputy Editor of the Kilkenny People.
He has recently written a book (entitled “Hidden Kilkenny”) that tells the stories of the hidden places in his adopted county.
He has also become involved in a unique world record attempt.
