Psychiatric nurses are to protest at St Luke’s Hospital for Carlow & Kilkenny and at University Hospital Waterford this lunchtime (12:30 to 2pm).
The members of the Psychiatric Nurses Association are highlighting what they say is the consistent & ongoing overcrowding & staffing crisis faced by those accessing vital services at these two acute mental health admission units.
Michael Hayes, PNA Industrical Relations Officer told KCLR News that overcrowding is making it a very difficult situation for staff on the ground in both facilities.
He says no services will be disrupted by today’s action.
