The Justice Ministers apology yesterday may have satisfied the rest of the Cabinet and his Government colleagues but the opposition are still not convinced that Alan Shatter should stay in his job.
Minister Shatter finally said sorry yesterday to the Garda whistleblowers and withdrew statements that Maurice McCabe and John Wilson didn’t co-operate with internal inquiries into the penalty points scandal.
But it hasnt satisfied the opposition who are persisting in their calls for his resignation.
Sinn Fein Senator David Cullinane & Fianna Fail TD John McGuinness both told Sue Nunn this morning why he has to go.
