The major works as part Irish Water’s 10 million euro investment in the Inistioge water supply get underway today.
From this morning until the 1st of December the Rock Road in Thomastown will be completely closed to traffic as the pipes that will bring the water from there over to Inistioge are being laid.
The road at Grennan Hill in Thomastown is also closed until close to the end of October.
Carlow/Kilkenny TD and Junior Minister John Paul Phelan will perform the official sod-turning on the project at the Salmon Pool Lounge in Thomastown this morning (10.30am).
