Cardiff City have called for the resignation of League Manager’s Association chairman Richard Bevan.
They have described the L-M-A’s initial statement in defense of the club’s former manager Malky Mackay, and the description of offensive text messages as “friendly banter” as “reprehensible”.
Mackay and ex-colleague Iain Moody are being investigated by the Football Association in relation to messages alleged to be racist, sexist and homophobic in nature.
The LMA today apologised for some of its wording in last night’s statement.
