The National Hurling League semi-final clash of Wexford and Tipperary takes place this Sunday (throw-in is a 4pm).
With the exception of access for residents, a number of streets and roads in Kilkenny City will either be closed or have parking restrictions in place from 1.30pm to 6pm that evening.
The Hebron Road will be closed from the Castlecomer Road to the O’Loughlin Road junctions.
Access from the Ring Road onto the Hebron Road will be restricted after the game as well.
The O’Loughlin Road will also be closed with local access only while there’ll only be parking for residents in Lacken Drive.
Also, to facilitate emergency routes and traffic flow, the usual parking restrictions will be in place on the Hebron Road, Castlecomer Road, Ballybough Street, and Pennefeather Way.
Access to the Pennefeather Way from the Newpark Drive end will be restricted after the game as well.
You’re also being reminded that there’ll be no parking available at MacDonagh Junction Shopping Centre as it will be closed.
However, all other parking at St Canice’s Hospital, O’Loughlin Gaels and all public parking spaces are available.
And extra parking will also be available alongside the Orchard House Pub on the New Orchard Road.
Parking there will be signposted.
Meanwhile, Kilkenny County Board say they’re down to their last 1,000 tickets for that game on Sunday.
Anyone from Kilkenny who’d like to go and get a seat is advised to get their tickets either tonight (Friday) or tomorrow (Saturday) because it’s likely to be Terrace only come Sunday.
