Two million euro allocated to have speed limits reduced in housing estates

An Irish 30 kmh speed sign in the dark night sky.Theres more good news for a Kilkenny based campaign to have speed limits reduced in housing estates.

Transport Minister Paschal Donohoe has announced that 2 million euro is being made available to councils to put 30 kilometre limits in.

Kilkenny woman Roseann Brennan’s six-year-old, Jake, was killed after being knocked down near his home in Lintown last June. Since his death, Roseann and her family, have been campaigning for lower speed limits in housing estates around the country.

She told KCLR News that two million euro wont go very far……
