Questions are being asked today over why the authorities did not respond to calls for help about a drowning horse in Kilkenny at the weekend.
A local woman shared the experience on social media after she and others spent hours trying to save the animal that had been left in the river for dead.
Callers told KCLR Live this morning how they had gotten into the Nore to try and rescue the horse. They called the emergency services but nobody came to help apart from a local Vet.
The horse eventually died and Sinead said that might have happened anyway but she couldn’t understand why none of the authorities came to their assistance.
