Carlow County Development Partnership seeks to recruit the following positions:

Ukrainian Support Workers (under SICAP programme)
2 Community Development workers required to work with the Ukrainian community

Job Purpose:

This is an excellent opportunity to join Carlow County Development Partnership (CCDP)
Joining a high-performing team and reporting to the Social Inclusion Manager, the purpose of this role is to develop capacity within our Ukrainian communities and work towards greater inclusion, participation and collaboration. Our ethos is a firm belief in inclusion, equality and social justice underpinned by a community development methodology.

Major Areas of Responsibility:

  • Reporting to the Social Inclusion Manager on the location, needs of and self-identified supports of communities and individuals in Carlow.
  • Delivery of effective capacity-building supports where appropriate.
  • Using a range of media, including social media platforms to communicate and disseminate information and promote opportunities and engagement.

Experience in providing supports and creative solutions in one or more of the following areas will be required:

  • Education and Training
  • Unemployment and predevelopment supports.
  • Older Persons.
  • Persons with a disability, physical, intellectual, hidden.
  • New communities and Refugee response.
  • Climate change and biodiversity.

Social EnterpriseAn ability to speak Ukrainian would be an advantage.Salary approx. 30k depending on experience. Contract is a fixed-term contact up to 31st December 2023. Closing date 5pm 7th February 2023.


Community Car Initiative Driver

2 positions. Driver Full time (part-time × 2 may be considered). Countywide.

Must be available for pre-booked appointments between 8am and 7pm Mon to Fri, 8 – 1pm on Saturday – maximum hours 35, fixed term contract up to 31st December 2023.
Full Clean driving license is essential. Salary c. 31k.


Community Car Initiative Administrator P/T

Based in Carlow town.
Approx. 20 hours fixed term contract up to 31st December 2023
Ukrainian speaker essential. Closing date 7th February 2023. Salary c. 26k pro rata.

Carlow County Development Partnership CLG seeks to recruit Tús Supervisors 

Tús is a community work placement initiative providing short-term quality work placement opportunities for people who are unemployed while at the same time carrying out a broad range of services which will benefit local communities.

We now wish to recruit Supervisors for 2 Tús schemes

Applicants for the position of Tús Supervisor should have;

  1. Experience in a supervisory/management capacity.
  2. Excellent communication & interpersonal skills.
  3. Excellent administration and computer literacy skills.
  4. Access to transport and full clean driving licence is essential.
  5. Third-level qualification would be advantageous.

Experience in:

(1) community projects or (2) Information Technology/digital media and/or (3) human resource/recruitment coordination would also be advantageous.
Salary: approx. €31,000 p/a
