Gardaí believe thieves are using a teenage girl to distract their victims in Carlow.
It’s after a woman was approached by a girl, who was about 15 years old, and said she was looking for directions to a battered wives’ shelter.

When she returned, her handbag, a phone worth €380 and some documents had also been taken.
It happened in the Penney’s carpark at the Hanover Shopping Centre at about 11.45 on Monday (3rd October).
The girl is described as having red hair, wearing denim jeans and a beige sweater.
