Housing sector of Carlow Council takes home top national award

Carlow County Council was the recipient of a national award for safety last night.

The Housing Section of the local authority was honoured with the President’s Award at the annual National Irish Safety Organisation awards in Killarney.

They recognise how organisations manage health and safety at work.

Speaking to KCLR News this morning, Director of Services with Carlow County Council, Séamus O’Connor says it was a great achievement.
