Gardaí appeal for witnesses as teenage girl sexually assaulted in Bagenalstown

A number of searches have been carried out in relation to a sexual assault on a teenage girl in Bagenalstown.

It happened sometime between Monday evening and 3am yesterday morning in the area of Father Cummins Park.

The victim is in her early teens and is believed to have been attending a bonfire there.

Speaking to KCLR News, Superintendent Gerry Redmond says they’re looking for anyone with information to come forward.
