It’s not everyday that you meet up with three people you’ve admired and all at the same time. Robin Bennett (The Dreaming Spires), Danny Wilson (Danny And The Champs) and Tony Poole (who has he not played with?) were in Kilkenny for the Roots Festival and impressed audiences with the live renditions from their debut self-titled album.
It was a double pleasure when they said they would drop by KCLR on their way home. This they did on Monday afternoon and we went in to Studio 2 with one eye on the clock. Mission accomplished a short time later (and another colleague thoroughly charmed in the process) off again, home via ferry.
