Work appears to have started on the revamp of the old Penneys site in Carlow town.
The green light was given for the re-development of the site on Kennedy Avenue by An Bord Pleanála back in April.

And it seems the builders have moved in there today. Eagle-eyed locals spotted construction materials and vehicles on site earlier.
A full refurbishment of the existing building is planned including a new roof aswell as new plant buildings and additional car parking.
